First off, Erin I have to tell you I love the design of your blog! Kudos to you. Like you my gears have been turning nonstop. I would like to say that I do not need technology in my art room, but lets face it, if I want my students to be better prepared after high school I need to do my part. Computer Graphics classes are taught by a colleague, but I teach the basic art classes. I find when I can incorporate my lessons with technology, students are more interested and excited. I will use it as a way, not to take away from valuable studio time, but as a way to facilitate communication out of the classroom. I think it is great that you are starting to teach technology with your first graders. I bet they will have a blast with it. For how young they are, I would assume many of them are already pretty handy with a computer. Good luck to you. Hannah
